DIY Face Mask

Are you a fan of face masks? Well I know I am! Incorporating a face mask into your daily routine has many benefits for your skin! I apply a face mask at LEAST once a week and I have definitely seen results in doing so. This DIY face mask, also known as “The Burning Face Mask”, is absolutely amazing! I have been using this mask for over a year now and I loooove it.

The best part of the DIY face mask is that it is only three ingredients that you most likely have in you kitchen right now! It’s super easy to make and also tastes pretty good if you accidentally get some in your mouth…which happens more often than you would think haha.

I am always on the lookout for healthy alternatives, which includes beauty products. Homemade DIY face masks are safer, more natural, and usually more effective than their in-store counterparts. This mask can be stored much longer than most homemade facial masks which is an added bonus.

DIY Face Mask Recipe:

Simply add 1 tbsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg, and 2 tbsp honey in a small bowl. Mix together and apply all over onto a freshly washed and dried face! Leave on for 20-30 minutes. When time is up, rinse with warm water in circular motions.

Benefits:

In this mask there are many benefits that are included. The cinnamon, honey, & nutmeg improve fine lines by plumping the skin, they have antibacterial properties that help heal acne faster, and increase collagen levels which gives the skin more elasticity helping you stay looking younger longer. This mask is extremely moisturizing and soothing so it helps create a glow. It opens up your pores making them easier to unclog. When removing the concoction with water in circular motions, it loosens up the dead skins cells on your face and acts as a great exfoliant!

I just wanted to let you know ahead of time that when removing the mask, it sometimes burns a little bit. This is totally normal hence the name “The Burning Face Mask”.  I highly recommend using this mask 2-3 times a week to see the most results.

Comment below and let me know if you liked this face mask or not I would love to hear your feedback!
