Chocolate Banana Protein Pancake

Delicious Chocolatey goodness!


These chocolate banana protein pancakes are something new I decided to try. Luckily they turned out absolutely delicious!

For some reason, I’m in a chocolate faze at the moment and I’m totally okay with it. These pancakes are healthy, yummy, and very filling. They are great to make for brunch on a relaxing Saturday or Sunday morning.


Breakfast is my absolute FAVORITE meal in the entire world. I could eat breakfast for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day! Every year for my birthday my mom always makes me a whatever I want for dinner. Almost every year, I decide to have breakfast! There are so many options for breakfast and that is why I love it so much.


I’m just warning you of my love for breakfast foods because you might see a lot of breakfast recipes on here. But hey! They will be unbelievably delicious I promise.

Cook time: 5 minutes

Total time: 10 Minutes

Amount: Makes about 3-4 pancakes


Ingredients for pancakes:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (more for richer chocolate taste).
  • Small handful semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • 2 scoops of protein powder (I use a no flavor protein powder from Standard Process).
  • 1 tsp baking powder.

Ingredients for chocolate syrup:

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp honey (more for sweeter taste).

Directions for chocolate syrup:

Combine coconut oil, cocoa powder, and honey. Mix well. Pour over pancakes once finished.

Directions for pancake:

First, mash up banana in a bowl with fork. Add in egg, cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and chocolate chips. Mix well. Heat pan on medium and oil pan with butter or coconut oil. Pour some batter onto pan. Flip pancake once there are bubbles popping up. Repeat process until batter is gone. Top with chocolate syrup and chocolate chips.
