Garlic & Salt Kale Chips

These kale chips are super delicious and obviously really healthy!

A few years ago I did a cleanse. All I could eat for the first ten days were vegetables and fruit! This was difficult for me because I love eggs, meat, and of course my weekly cheat meal!

In the beginning, I had cravings like crazy! Especially salty cravings. I wanted chips…which is weird because I never really eat them anyway. I think once I tell myself I’m not allowed to eat something, that is all I want from then on out.

Due to my cravings, I was forced to find a healthy alternative. That is when I thought to make chips out of Kale! It satisfied my craving for something salty and crunchy, plus it was actually healthy for me! This way I didn’t have to feel guilty about eating them.

I made these kale chips probably a thousand times while on the cleanse. I even continued to make them after I was done with the cleanse because I loved them so much!

If you are are like me and love to eat healthy but still crave salty/crunchy goodies, then trust me you will LOVE kale chips!

Prep time: 5 minutes

Total time: 15 minutes

  • 1 Bunch of Kale
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2 tsp  powdered Garlic

Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F.

Wash and dry kale leaves. Using a knife, cut the leaves from the stem. Next, Cut or tear the kale leaves into your desired size. Note: they will shrink a tiny bit once cooked.

Place kale leave into a bowl. In a separate dish, combine olive oil, sea salt, and garlic. Pour mixture over kale leaves. Toss and massage kale until each leaf is covered.

Spread out the kale in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 6-10 minutes, or until the kale is crispy and no longer soft. Remove and serve immediately!
